Supporting sustainability and regulatory compliance through enhanced traceability

Markham, Ontario – January 2025 – Enghouse Locus and Mestergruppen, one of Scandinavia’s largest building materials suppliers, have announced a new strategic partnership that’s set to reshape building materials logistics. This collaboration will see Mestergruppen leveraging Enghouse Locus’s advanced transport management systems (TMS), to improve operational efficiency while meeting the EU’s new regulatory requirement to digital climate accessibility. The system will make it easier for Mestergruppen to document emissions, vehicle itineraries, and other key data, giving customer accessible climate data in their invoices.“This new system will allow us to meet the growing demand for sustainable logistics by offering transparency and real-time tracking while ensuring compliance with EU regulations,” said Frode Ødegård, Logistics Manager at Mestergruppen.

By leveraging Enghouse Locus’s advanced transport management system (TMS), this collaboration will support Mestergruppen in meeting new digital climate data accessibility requirements, while improving operational efficiency.

A Commitment to Innovation and Sustainability

Mestergruppen is one of the leading operators in the building materials sector across Scandinavia. With a 2023 turnover of NOK 17.7 billion, and a network of 500 outlets in Norway and Sweden, the company is focused on adapting to the evolving needs of the construction industry in the region.

As part of this, Mestergruppen’s adoption of Enghouse Locus TMS will streamline logistics and delivery efficiency, while reducing overall carbon emissions. Through the more efficient management of delivery schedules, the company will be able to provide frequent, smaller deliveries, ultimately reducing waste and the overall environmental impact.

A New Era for Building Materials Logistics

Enghouse Locus TMS will enable Mestergruppen to optimise every aspect of logistics operations. Erik Egelund at Enghouse Locus, commented, “our new partnership with Mestergruppen introduces our cutting-edge tools to the building materials logistics sector. Our transport management system not only enables Mestergruppen to meet their regulatory requirements, it will also enhance the service they offer to their customers. We believe that with Enghouse Locus TMS, Mestergruppen are well positioned for even greater long-term success in a rapidly changing market.”

The Next Step in Sustainable Building Materials Logistics

Mestergruppen’s adoption of the TMS solution from Enghouse Locus is a significant step towards more sustainable, efficient, and customer-focused building materials logistics. With the powerful set of tools that it provides, Mestergruppen can meet current challenges, while future proofing its operations. By setting an example of what’s possible it’s hoped that this new partnership will promote greater sustainability across the industry.
